Founded in 2023, Okiya is a Lille-based association that promotes Japanese culture through artistic and cultural activities.
We particularly highlight two emblematic elements of Japan:
The kimono, a refined traditional garment, which we showcase through workshops, exhibitions, and lectures.
Yosakoi, a contemporary and festive Japanese dance, combining traditional movements, lively music, colorful costumes, and rhythmic accessories called naruko.
