‘Aran Story Hanbok’ pursues a design that is a collaboration between modernity and tradition, every garment has a story.

‘Aran Story Hanbok’ is the clothing that makes me shine even more in pursuit of something special.
As the world pays attention to the status of the Korean Wave, Aran Story is carrying out a cultural property project. Based on my career as a cultural heritage commentator for more than 10 years, I am working to spread awareness that hanbok is not just a piece of clothing, but a cultural asset, by designing Korean cultural heritage in hanbok. In addition, cultural heritage design produces original and unique products by designing not only everyday hanbok, but also scarves, handkerchiefs, and bags.
Dancheong is a Korean wooden building decorated with multicolored patterns.
The pattern of Dancheong is very colorful and beautiful.
Aran Story produced a scarf using dancheong painted on the ceiling of Donhwamun Gate at the main gate of Changdeokgung Palace, a palace in the Joseon Dynasty.
Jogakbo Split Skirt
Jogakbo refers to a bojagi made by connecting leftover colored fabrics, and in the past,
it was mainly used for table covers, window blinds, wall decorations, blankets, and pillowcases.
Jogakbo, which was a household item for the common people, it can be said to be a shipbuilding version upcycled product.
Aran Story Hanbok uses a fabric with the motif of this Jogakbo to create a wrap skirt-shaped waist skirt produced by grafting the living culture of the past to the modern waist skirt.
Aran Story hanbok is designed using not only cultural heritage hanbok, but also traditional Korean patterns and patterns that represent Korea, such as Hangeul.
While using traditional hanbok as a motif, we pursue a design that represents K-fashion by utilizing modernized processing methods.
