One Piece Season 2: Setting Sail for the Grand Line with a Stopover in Brussels

The Straw Hat crew is getting ready to set sail once again. Season 2 of One Piece, subtitled Into the Grand Line, is revealed through a first trailer released by Netflix. The platform confirms a release scheduled for March 2026 and accompanies the announcement with a series of fan-focused events, including a stop in Brussels during Made in Asia.

After a first season that successfully won over a global audience, the live-action adaptation of the cult manga is entering a decisive phase. Luffy and his companions leave the relatively familiar waters of East Blue to venture into the fearsome Grand Line, a mythical area of the series’ universe, renowned for its dangers and unpredictable encounters.

A rise in intensity ahead

The footage unveiled in the trailer sets the tone: new territories, more threatening adversaries, and heightened stakes. Season 2 will notably introduce several Devil Fruit users, a race of giants never before seen on screen, as well as striking new creatures. Action will take center stage, driven by choreographed fights and more ambitious visual work.

One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda accompanied the announcement with a message to fans:

“It’s almost ready! With Season 1, we faced the global question: ‘Is it really possible to adapt One Piece into live action?’ and the answer spoke for itself, reaching the Top 10 in 93 countries and territories, and number one in 46 of them!

With the exceptional production team that delivered these brilliant results, we now present Season 2, which will set sail for the Grand Line, the most dangerous sea in the world. In other words, all the conventions established in Season 1 will be turned upside down.

A parade of Devil Fruit users, a race of giants never seen before, adorable creatures, impactful action, and breathtaking visual effects: this season is packed with standout moments! Immerse yourself in a unique live-action experience. May this series reach all adventurous spirits around the world! Just over a month before departure. Get ready!”

A special stop at Made in Asia in Brussels

As part of the promotion for this new season, Netflix is organizing a global tour titled Journey to the Grand Line. For Belgium, there is only one date to remember: Brussels, from February 27 to March 1, during the Made in Asia convention.

Visitors will be able to enjoy special activities tied to the series’ universe, designed as an immersive preview before officially entering the Grand Line. This Belgian stop is set to be a key moment for European fans, at the heart of an event that is already a major fixture for Asian pop culture.

New faces and first images

Netflix has also revealed a series of new images highlighting the new characters appearing this season. Tony Tony Chopper makes his first on-screen appearance, joining the crew as the ship’s doctor. Several major figures are also introduced, including Miss All Sunday (Nico Robin), Mr. 3, and Miss Wednesday.

The Drum Island arc will be especially prominent, featuring the arrival of iconic characters such as Dr. Kureha, Dr. Hiriluk, and Wapol. Fans also caught a glimpse of Laboon, the giant whale beloved by longtime readers and viewers.

With this second season, One Piece reaffirms its ambition: to expand its universe, deepen its storytelling, and unite a global community—of which Brussels will be one of the gathering points next spring.
